This page sets out important information about the fees and expenses I charge, which will either be paid individually (self-funded) or through a medical insurer. 

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees. I work with the following private medical insurers: BUPA, AXA Health, WPA, Vitality, National Friendly, Allianz Care, Healix, Cigna, Aviva, Freedom Health, General & Medical, and The PHC. If you do not have private medical insurance and someone else will be paying your bill, you may wish to share this information with them. Please note that even if someone else is paying your bill or you have private medical insurance, you are responsible for paying any charge which they do not pay.

Initial Consultation fee is £250 (*£300 at CLH) with follow-up consultations an additional £150 per visit (*£180 at CLH). 

I understand that patients sometimes have to cancel their appointments. Please check the cancellation policy and your fee liability with the individual hospital or clinic, as these may differ.

Following your consultation, you may need certain tests (such as blood tests, imaging, e.g., x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, or endoscopy, including gastroscopy or colonoscopy) to help diagnose your condition. If the test is undertaken by the clinic or hospital, and not directly by me, the fees for those tests will be determined by that clinic or hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately. If there are any fees that I will charge in relation to any of the tests I recommend you have, I will let you know what those will be. If you require medication to treat your condition (for example antibiotics, laxatives, or antacids) I will issue a private prescription at no extra charge. However, you are responsible for paying the drug cost, which will vary depending on which pharmacist dispenses your prescription.
